Fr. Theo Anastas

Fr. Theo Anastas was born in Orlando, Florida on November 11, 1936 to Maria and George Anastas. He attended high school in Greece, received his B.A. in Theology from Holy Cross Seminary, and received his Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling from Case Western Reserve University.

He married Helen Gekas on July 31, 1961, became a deacon on August 12, 1961, and was ordained into the priesthood on August 13, 1961. Fr. Theo and Presvytera Helen have 2 grown children, Maria and Chris. Their son, George, fell asleep in the Lord on January 21, 1992 - Memory Eternal.

Fr. Theo served four parishes in his 41 years as a priest. His first parish was Holy Trinity Church in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin where he served for 5 years. His next parish was St. Paul Church in North Royalton, Ohio where he was the priest for 18 years. Fr. Theo served at his third parish, Holy Trinity Church in Clearwater, Florida, for 7 years. His last parish was Holy Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, Arizona where he served for 11 years before retiring in 2002.

During his priesthood, Fr. Theo served on the Archdiocese Youth Committee and the Archdiocesan Council. He received the titles of Oikonomos and Protopresbyter, and was appointed as a Diocesan Vicar.

He has written a pamphlet on his program for converts, and has specialized in counseling throughout his priesthood.
