His parents, Paskale and Lambriny Yankopoulos, immigrated from Botani, a village outside of Thessalonica.

Seminary: Holy Cross Master of Divinity 1987
Antiochian Village Eastern Orthodox Doctoral Program: while completing his Doctorate, he fell asleep in the Lord.
Ordinations: to the Holy Deaconate - Oct. 25, 1987 at Saint Demetrios Church in Fall River, Ma. and to the Holy Priesthood - Dec. 27, 1987 at Holy Cross Chapel at the Seminary, both performed by Bishop Gerasimos of Abydos.
Fr. Stergios, known as Fr. Steve, was a late vocation priest. He served Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Muskegon, MI. from January 1988 till his sudden falling asleep in the Lord at the age of 71.
In the year 2000, his parish was able to move out of the inner city into a beautiful new Byzantine style church they erected in a suburban area.
He also assisted Fr. Asterios Gerostergios of Cambridge, Ma. in translating and editing many books, most by Bishop Augoustinos Kantiotes of Phlorina, Greece.
Presvytera: Ann (Hege) Yankopoulos was born March 3, 1940 in Huntington, W.Va. Spent her childhood years at Endicott & Poughkeepsie. Attended N. Y. College and the Boston University received an Associated Degree.
